Oliver wrote this song in 2017, and was waiting for the right moment to release it. During the Covid lockdown, he listened again to some tracks he already had written and thought it was time to dust them off and get them out his computer drawers.
I want it all is the first single of his second album, to be released in 2021.
I want a lover to love me I want a lover to hate me sometimes When grey shadows would come in our way We would face them all together And go on
I want to hold hands in streets And kiss with love when the moon rises up To stand side-by-side with each other For the good and the bad moments in life
But I got no time
Got to rehearse Play late at night And then work again Sing other people’s songs Made more famous than mine
But they cannot express Nor my mood nor my mind
I want it all for me Maybe it’s too much for asking I want to be in love, you see I would give you all you’d need
I want to go on a journey Guided by nothing but love Just a way to go by with somebody That would walk next to me by my side
I’m not sure that it will happen Some day soon that I could enjoy For now there are just me and my hands Playing some melodies of love
But I got no time Got to rehearse Play late at night And then work again Sing other people’s songs Made more famous than mine But they cannot express Nor my mood nor my mind
I want it all for me Maybe it’s too much for asking I want to be in love, you see I would give you all you’d need
But I can’t love and live from my music I guess I have to chose between the two And stay on my own, just keep on writing I will have to wait to find love, but I already have music
I want it all Maybe it’s too much for asking, For me yeah Where are you? I want you, love I want you, love Where are you?
